1. Counter 71, Fitzrovia

Chef's counter, 12 seats, a set menu that changes weekly. Book six weeks out or wait for a Sunday cancellation.

2. Vin Papillon, Peckham

The Montreal wine bar finally lands in London and it's exactly as good as we hoped. Order the roasted cauliflower and something orange.

3. Cavatina, Marylebone

Roman-style pasta, a 40-cover room, one of those places you'll be trying to book for the rest of the year.
